Xi Jingping was born June 15, 1953 in Beijing his parents were Xi Zongxun who was the father and his mother was Qi Xin.
Xi Jingping's early childhood was rather horrifying, after his father got caught staring at the Berlin wall with binoculars while visiting East Germany Xi and his sister were not only bullied but also tormented. His sister was bullied to the point of her taking her own life, which left Xi Jingping alone with his mother. Around 1972 Xi Jingping and his father were reunited, but although they got to see each other his father did not remember his own son's face because of how much he was tortured.
Xi Jingping joined the Communist Youth League of China in 1971. In 1973 he applied to join the Communist Party Of China ten times and was finally accepted on his tenth attempt in 1974. He was promoted in 1983 to secretary, becoming the top official of the county. Finally in 1999, he was promoted to the office of Vice Governor of Fujian, and then became governor a year later. Then in 2002 he was elected a full member of the 16th Central Committee, marking his ascension to the national stage.
In March, 2008 Xi was elected vice-president of the People's Republic of China.He was put in charge of the comprehensive preparations for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, as well as being the central governments leading figure in Hong Kong in Macau affairs. Then March 14, 2013 Xi Jingping was elected President of the People's Republic of China in a confirmation vote by the 12th National People's Congress in Beijing. Now Xi Jingping still remains the current president of China and has a wife and one daughter. Xi Jingping's wifes name is Peng Liyuan and his daughters name is Xi Mingze.
