Swimming is a fun activity for all types of people! But there is something about swimming that many people don’t know about. Swimming is very good for you health wise. Swimming also provides you with a low impact workout and it’s also a good activity for you to relax and feel good. There are also lots of swimming skills you can learn too like the backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, and freestyle. Some people enjoy swimming for fun but some take it to a competitive level. Swimming has lots of benefits to it like it keeps your heart rate up but also takes a lot of stress off of your body. It also tones your muscles and builds strength. Swimming helps you

maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart, and lungs but also builds endurance,

muscle strength, and cardiovascular fitness. Some tips for swimming is to make sure you know how to swim. Choose a safe environment. Warm up and stretch

your muscles and joints before entering the water. Have lots of fluids on hand and drink regularly. Don’t overdo it if you’re just starting out. See your doctor if you haven’t exercised for a long time.

Here are 9 really good reasons on why you should learn how to swim or just go and swim:

1. It helps your heart out a lot.

2. It helps build and maintain muscles.

3. It gives your body a break from higher impact activities.

4. It increases your flexibility.

5. It strengthens your core.

6. It helps you maintain your breath.

7. It gives you some adventure.

8. It helps you with your social outlet.

9. It helps a lot with weight loss.

Swimming reduces inflammation, holds its own for calories burned, can improve exercise induced asthma, lowers stress and depression, can make you smarter, may just lengthen your life, and salt water swimming is like a beauty treatment for your skin.
