1. Football
Football is a very simple game and there are very few ground rules. It also doesn't need that much equipment and it is very cheap. If you ask people around the world what is the most popular sport most of them would say football. It is also pretty easy.
2. Basketball
Basketball is so easy to get the hang of and do so many people play and like to play this sport. This sport also needs very little equipment all you need to play is a pair of gym shoes, a ball, and a hoop. Also lots people love to watch this sport and bet on it like when March Madness comes along or the NCAA Tournament. They love picking winners, filling out brackets, and predicting the games.
3. Baseball
Baseball is very popular because they have lots of fans. Also baseball is the only sport that if you are winning then you must continue to play the game. Any team at any time can make a comeback but it would be harder to do. The hall of fame weekend is one of the most popular weekends of all sports. For any other sports all star games are kind of just a joke but for baseball they are very important and not that much of a joke.
4. Soccer
The game of soccer is very fun to play even thought some people think it is very boring to watch. Even though it hosts the most popular sporting event the World Cup. The Super Bowl had less people watching than the World Cup. Soccer is very easy to play even though it needs a lot of skills. Soccer is also a natural sport. Like if you rolled a ball at a little kid that kids first reaction is to kick it. You also don't need that much equipment. All you need is shoes, a jersey, shorts, and shin pads.
5. Hockey
Hockey is a very cool sport. You get to play it on ice. Also the players are always controlled of the game. Hockey is also a team sport a lot. When you are playing hockey you have to have skills mostly speed and being able to skate. Hockey also is a very dangerous sport people have lots of fights and they are on ice. Hockey players look and act very scary on the ice but in real life they are very nice people. They also have very cool and fun goal celebration and people love to watch it.
