On February 3, 2019, the Los Angeles Rams took on the New England Patriots for Super Bowl LIII, in Atlanta, Georgia. In the first quarter, the Rams started off strong with an interception, giving them possession of the ball. Unfortunately, for the Rams they were unable to score. WHen the Patriots had the ball they had the opportunity to score a field goal, but missed. The Rams again couldn't score on the Patriots' defense and it was beginning to look like a battle between the defenses. When the Patriots got the ball, they also were unable to score. Yet again the Rams had possession of the ball and were unable to score, leading to the end of the first quarter.
At the start of the second quarter, the Patriots were finally able to score a field goal making the score 3-0. The Rams continued to give possession up to the Patriots and the Patriots gave the ball right back to the Rams, till the end of the first half. At the end of the first half, it was a low scoring game, with the Patriots up, only by three with the score 3-0.
At the end of halftime the third quarter began and the Rams continued to give the ball up, to the Patriots and the Patriots kept slowly advancing, then punting the ball back to the Rams. The Rams were still unable to score giving the ball back to the Patriots who ended up giving the ball back, and finally the Rams, ended the streak by scoring a field goal and tying the game 3-3, and giving the ball to the Patriots, who were unable to score before, the end of the third quarter.
At the beginning of the fourth and final quarter, the Rams started of with the ball and ended up punting the ball, to the Patriots. The Patriots were able to drive down the field and get in the end zone for a touchdown, adding seven points to their score, and making the score 10-3. When the Rams got the ball they threw a interception, giving the possession to the Patriots. The were able to drive down the field again and score a field goal, increasing their lead by ten and making the score 13-3. In the final drive of he game, for the Rams they ended up driving down the field and missing a field goal, giving the possession and win to the New England Patriots. The final score was 13-3 with the New England Patriots in the lead, making them the winners of Super Bowl LIII.
