Chicago Cubs vs. San Francisco Giants

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, the Chicago Cubs played the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona. The Scottsdale Stadium is the Giants spring training stadium. In the top of the first inning the Cubs were shut out by the Giants. The Giants were able to score 2 runs on the Cubs, in the bottom of the first inning, making the score 2-0. In the top of the second inning the Cubs went on a tear and ended up scoring 8 runs, putting them in the lead by six, the score being, 8-2. Later in the bottom of the second inning the Giants were unable to get any more runs on the board. In the third inning, the Cubs weren't able o score any runs, while the Giants were able to bring one run in and reducing the the Cubs lead to 5, the score being 8-3. In the next inning (the fourth inning), The Cubs were yet again unable to score, and this time the Giants reduced their lead to 3, by scoring 2 runs and making the score 8-5. In the,fifth and sixth inning the Cubs and Giants were both unable to score. In the seventh inning the Cubs put one more run on the board increasing their lead to 4 and making the score 9-5. In the eighth and ninth inning , neither the Cubs nor Giants were able to score. The final score was 9-5, with the Cubs being the winner. Both the Cus and the Giants had no errors, the 2 differences were the hits and runs. As you can tell by the score the Chicago Cubs scored 9 runs, while the San Francisco Giants only scored 5 runs, making the Cubs the winner. The Cubs just barely had more hits at 13 hit compared to the Giants 9 hits, only a 4 hit difference.
